Are you "Fully Bonded"?
Yes – through Go Holidays I am a registered travel broker. Go Holidays is a member of the Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ). This membership ensures your guarantee of financial integrity and high standard of service.
What’s the difference between a Broker and a Travel Agent?
Anyone can become a travel agent with very little industy or travel experience. Travel Brokers have both years of industry experience and have had plenty of trips overseas. Brokers work in much the same way as travel agencies. Both have airline reservation systems and both use travel wholesalers to make holiday reservations. The biggest difference is that agencies have shops whereas a majority of travel brokers work from home. This is usually a lifestyle choice.
Where do you work from?
I work from my office in Panmure, Auckland.
Can I Come and Visit You to Discuss my Travel Plans?
You are more than welcome. My office has plenty of memorabilia from trips overseas covering the walls plus there are books, maps and photos of my previous trips to help with itinerary planning. Appointments are necessary.
Do you have more Travel Products than those Shown?
Yes – we have access to a spectacular range of accommodation, tours, transfers, airfares, vehicle hire and much more.
Do I Need to Pay Anything to Receive a Quotation?
In almost all cases, No. However the occasion may arrive that a small fee may be charged for preparing a quotation if there is a considerable amount of time required with the investigation. Of course, this small fee would be deducted from your full payment when the quotation has been accepted and the booking made. If there is any possibility of a fee, we will let you know at the time of your enquiry.
What do I Need to Pay, and When?
Following your initial contact, you will be given the following:
  1. A total cost for the travel arrangements – in New Zealand Dollars. This cost is guaranteed for seven days. Costs for any extras you may have asked for e.g. travel insurance. What the next step is to make the booking.
  2. A non-refundable deposit of NZD$100.00 per person (by cash or credit card) will be required within 5 working days of your airfare being reserved by us.
  3. When we have received your deposit, the remainder of your travel arrangements will be booked.
  4. We will send you a confirmation by e-mail with full details of what has been booked for you and the outstanding balance (less the deposit you have already paid). This confirmation will show the date full payment is due to be paid to Go Holidays.
  5. Your payment balance can be forwarded to Go Holidays by cheque, cash, direct credit or credit card. Please note that due to credit card fees, if payment is made by credit card, we may not be able to offer the best possible discount – please check with us when you are making your reservation if it is likely you will pay by credit card.
What Happens if I Need to Cancel or Amend my Booking?
If your circumstances change, please let us know as soon as possible. Some airlines, hotels and sightseeing operators may charge cancellation or amendment fees that are beyond our control. The amounts can vary considerably depending on the country and how many days prior to the service being used the amendment or cancellation has happened. We may also charge a fee to cover expenses resulting from the cancellation or amendment. Please ask us at the time of booking if there are any likely fees resulting from amendments or cancellations. A good option is to purchase travel insurance at the time of booking – this will then cover you in the event of being charged for amendment/cancellation fees.
When Will I Receive my Tickets?
Tickets and travel documents will be issued once we have received your final payment. They will be sent to you by courier. Our office is open during normal working hours, so if you prefer to collect the tickets yourself, please contact us to make a time to pick them up.
