Hua Hin

Back in the 1920’s King Rama VII founded Hua Hin as the royal getaway. From there it developed into the aristocracy’s beach resort. These days the old fishing port is now a modern holiday destination with yesteryear charm.
The mile long beach is picturesque with smooth granite boulders jutting out in the bay. Charming wooden piers house rustic seafood restaurants with romantic atmospheres.
Hua Hin is small enough to wander around without the need of a taxi or any other form of transportation. A plethora of souvenir shops, tailors, restaurants and markets create a unique beach town atmosphere.
It’s easy to get to Hua Hin from Bangkok with daily flights and trains as well as under 3 hours by road. Hua Hin is a great place for a break from the busyness of Bangkok. For longer beach holidays we recommend main resort islands such as Phuket and Koh Samui.

December – February
The Cool Season
Mild days and cooler nights. Lots of sunshine. The winds get up around now so the water is rough. Average temperature is 26’C

March – June
The Hot Season
The days and nights are hot and humidity is higher. Lots of sun and cooling afternoon breezes. Expect the days to heat up to about 29’C

July – November
The Rainy Season
Usually sunny mornings and overcast afternoons. It doesn’t rain every day but when it does its usually for about quarter of an hour anyway. The sea is calm in the mornings and gets choppier in the afternoon. The biggest rain months are October and November with just over 200mm of rain a month. Your average day will be about 28’C.
