Krabi

Krabi Province is famous for its amazing limestone cliffs as well as its islands. Amongst the most popular islands is Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta. The interior of the province is mostly unexplored tropical forests, home to a rich variety of flora and fauna.

Krabi Town

Close to the river mouth flowing out into the Andama Sea is generally just past through by tourists on their way to some of the provinces famous beaches. There are daily flights from Bangkok to Krabi.

Ao Nang Beach

Ao Nang is Krabi’s main resort beach area on the mainland, accessible by road from Krabi Town and airport. Limestone cliffs rise from the clear waters along the beach. Most hotels, shops and restaurants run along the beach road and on side streets up from the beach. From here you can easily take day trips to visit other beaches, or for rock climbing, trekking and caving tours.

Other Mainland Beaches

Two of the most popular beaches in Ao Phra Nang peninsula are only accessible by long tail boat are Railay (or Rai Leh) and Hat Tham Phra Nang, both several kilometres from Ao Nang Beach. The picturesque boat trip between limestone cliffs and islands will take you into pristine white sand bays along with stunning cliffs and forest backdrops. The Lanta Islands Group

Over 50 islands make up this group, 15 f which make up the Ko Lanta National Marine Park, home to dozens of endangered animal and bird species. Koh Lanta Yai is the largest of the islands and is inhabited by Chao Ley Muslim Sea Gypsies. It has a mountainous and rugged interior and some beautiful beaches. This island has recently become a favorite getaway for those in search of solitude.
